Multiple tooth replacement
If a tool is lost or needs to be extracted, the best current solution for its replacement is to insert a dental implant onto which a ceramic crown is then fixed.
Four appointments are usually necessary for this type of treatment.
The first visit is a consultation which includes a clinical examination and analysis by various supplemental examinations, followed by a second visit lasting 30 to 60 minutes to insert the implants.
The third consultation, after the required osteointegration period, consists of making a cast.
The fourth and final visit is to attach the crowns.

The implant solution presents numerous advantages:
- The absent teeth are replaced in a secure way (comfort, chewing efficiency, better elocution, self-confidence, etc.).
- It avoids mutilating the adjacent teeth, as is necessary when a traditional bridge is created.
- It is highly reliable and long-lasting throughout the patient’s lifetime.
Alternatives to dental implants:
- A bridge which requires trimming the supporting teeth.
- A glued bridge, not always possible, is less mutilating than a fixed bridge. The process is not always reliable as the bridge can unglue.
- Removable devices remain uncomfortable and are not always accepted as a definitive solution. Some patients have psychological problems accepting them.
